Chinese space capsule returns to Earth

The Shenzhou VI, China's second manned spacecraft, returned to earth on Monday after being in orbit for five days.

 

 Fei Junlong, 40, and Nie Haisheng, 41, reportedly landed safely and in excellent health, after touching down in northern Inner Mongolia region, according to <i>Xinhua</i>.

 

The spacecraft circled Earth 76 times and is viewed as a sign of China’s rise as a world technological power.

 

Millions of Chinese viewed the landing with cheers as the as Shenzhou VI  returned from its mission after leaving the Earth on Wednesday.
