Chinese director Jia Zhangke's film "Platform" was shown at IF Casablanca on September 9 at 20:00. Platform (2000) a 3hr 18 min drama tells the story of a group of amateur theatre performers, who face the economic and cultural reforms of the 1980s, leading to their privatization and reincarnation as the All-Star Rock n' Break dance Group. The movie covers a decade in which China saw tremendous socio-economic changes commencing in the 1970s and ending in 1980s. Wang Hong Wei, Zhao CAT and Liang Jing Dong are starring in Platform, which was chosen by "Les Cahiers du cinema" (France) as one of the 10 best films of 2001.
