Car bombs in kill at least 21 Iraqis

A car bomb went off outside a Shiite mosque in Baghdad on Friday, killing at least 14 people and injuring 40, police and hospital officials said. The car exploded outside the al-Taf mosque in southwestern Baghdad, where Shiites were celebrating the Eid al-Adha.


An official at Baghdad's al-Yarmouk Hospital said at least 13 people were killed and 40 wounded, The AP reported.


The bomb exploded as worshippers were leaving the mosque, a witness conveyed.

 

Elsewhere, a suicide bomber detonated an ambulance Friday at a Shiite wedding party in a village south of Baghdad, killing at least seven people and injuring 16, hospital officials said. The bride and groom were among the injured, officials said.
