Cairo International Airport authorities Saturday seized 69,000 tablets of the hallucinogenic drug Ecstasy in the luggage of a South African woman who was planning to smuggle them from Holland to South Africa through Cairo, reported the official Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA.
An official airport source said the authorities had received information that the passenger, who boarded an EgyptAir flight from Amsterdam under the name Randenia Desmall, was in fact a middleman for an international drug trafficking ring.
He added that immediately upon the flight's arrival to the airport, the passenger was fingered, her luggage was searched, and the illegal merchandise was confiscated – Albawaba.com
