Buyers of Daewoo Units to Take over Egypt’s Plant

A joint venture between General Motors and the Korean Development Bank will take over four of Dawoo Motors 16 plans including two in Korea, one in Egypt and the one in Vietnam, according to business-standard.com. 

General Motors paid US $400 million in cash and formed a joint venture with the Korean Development Bank, Daewoo's main creditor, with a 67 per cent stake.  

DAEWOO Motor Egypt announced in May, 1999 its new model of Daewoo Egypt, the new hatchback model of the Lanos (JULIET) – Albawaba.com
