Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov is expected to visit Kuwait Monday for an official visit, in reply to the invitation of the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The Bulgarian President's visit is his first to an Arab country, after becoming Bulgarian President last January and the third by a Bulgarian President, following the democratic changes, which took place in that country.

Talks are expected to focus on the Mid-East situation, the latest developments in the region, as well as bilateral relations between the two countries, according to KUNA news agency.

Both countries hope to develop commercial and economic ties, to work on eradicating obstacles facing both countries in this field, as well as to increase the level of commercial exchange, through meetings of the Kuwaiti-Bulgarian joint committee for economic, industrial, commercial and technical cooperation.
