British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw confirmed that he will leave Wednesday evening for a visit to Tehran and Islamabad to discuss the situation in Afghanistan with Iranian and Pakistani leaders.
A senior Iranian official said Straw is to arrive in Tehran around midday Thursday and remain for several hours before going on to Islamabad.
His talks will cover the situation in Afghanistan and other regional questions, notably the Arab-Israeli conflict, the official said – London (AFP)
