AP reports that a flight from New York City to Istanbul was grounded in Canada due to a bomb threat this morning.

Halifax Stanfield International Airport tweeted that the flight landed and all 256 people were evacuated.

The bomb threat was made at 10:50pm local time, after the flight had taken off from John F Kennedy International Airport.

The Royal Canadian Mountain Police are “searching the Turkish Airlines plane using police dogs trained in explosives,” according to a recent tweet. The investigation is ongoing.
