British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Wednesday that Britain has "absolutely no plans" to engage in military action against Syria.

Asked whether Britain would join the United States and

Israel if they launched military action against Syria, Blair told the Parliament: "We have absolutely no plans to engage in hostilities in respect of Syria at all."

About two weeks ago, Israeli warplanes bombed a suspected training camp near the Syrian capital city of Damascus.

Blair stressed Israel must try to exercise restraint despite the “appalling” pressure it faces from "terrorist" attacks. (Albawaba.com)
