Digital lifestyle leader, BenQ, today announced that it has recorded significant sales growth for key products across the region. Senior executives at the company expect this trend to continue with a series of new product launches, backed up by an aggressive marketing campaign.
BenQ is liaising with a host of major retailers at GITEX 2006 to have a major presence in at least 40 per cent of the stands at the exhibition this year. The company is working with key retailers including Sharaf DG, Jackys Electronics, Kite and Plug-Ins, as well as Trigon, QLine and Metropolitan. Increased participation by BenQ on these stands forges a close partnership between the vendor and its channel partners to drive regional sales.
The company is focusing on consumer electronics products like LCD TVs, LCD monitors, projectors and digital cameras to capitalise on the buoyant demand for consumer electronics in the region. BenQ is the current No.3 producer of LCD monitors in the region and leads the digital projector market in the region with a 25.3 per cent market share in Saudi Arabia and 13.05 per cent in the UAE, according to research analysts Decision Tree Consulting.
