ALBAWABA - Israeli Minister Itamar Ben Gvir faces protests and synagogue bans during his controversial visit to the United States.

Itamar Ben Gvir, the Minister of National Security for Israel, has been the target of protests during his current tour to the United States. Jewish synagogues have barred him from making a lecture, and university students have rallied against him.

During his current tour to the United States, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has been the subject of protests. When he attempted to deliver a speech at a Jewish synagogue, he was barred from doing so.  There were also demonstrations against him by students at universities.  In New York City, hundreds of Jews and Israelis demonstrated against Ben Gvir, asking that detainees from the Gaza Strip be returned to their homes, as reported by Israeli Channel 12.

At the same time, a large number of people marched against him, demanding an end to Israeli attack on Gaza and yelling "Nazi, criminal."

According to Israeli Channel 12, this is the location where hundreds of Jewish and Israeli citizens marched against Ben Gvir in New York City, demanding the release of detainees from the Gaza Strip.  In addition, a large number of protestors staged demonstrations against him, demanding an end to the Israeli onslaught on Gaza while yelling "Nazi, criminal."

According to reports from Israeli media outlets, a number of synagogues in New York City declined to welcome Ben Gvir and did not let him to deliver a lecture there.  It was reported by the Haaretz daily that a big Jewish congregation in New York City made the decision to cancel Ben Gvir's lecture after receiving pressure from the relatives of the detainees.

The minister, who has been convicted 8 times for crimes including racism and supporting a terrorist organization, is currently visiting the United States, knowing that he leads the far-right "Jewish Power" party due to his positions opposing peace and advocating for war, starving and displacing Palestinians, and establishing settlements in the Gaza Strip after its occupation.
