The internationally renowned diva, Barbara Hendricks, performed recently in the Acropolium de Carthage, in the framework of the closing night of the 1st edition of "Jazz in Carthage" Festival. The event was held during April 12 to 16.
The international star, who has already been in Tunisia during the summer festivals of 2001, returned this year with the famous Swedish jazz group, Magnus Lindgren Quartet - a Grammy Award winning musical group composed of a saxophonist, drummer, bassist and a pianist - for which this was the first visit to Tunisia.
<i>La Presse</i> reports that 9,000 people gathered to listen to Barbara performance.
