Yesterday, sophisticated Swiss shoe retailer, Bally, announced the opening of its first store in Dubai at Mall of the Emirates with a gala event hosted by Apparel LLC and Bally CEO Marco Franchini, who made a special visit to Dubai for the occasion.

To celebrate the opening of the stylish store, Bally was proud to invite dignitaries and senior executives from government, corporate and the retail sector to a prestigious cocktail reception and gala dinner hosted by the company’s CEO Marco Franchini, at the Burj Al Arab Garden Marina, on Wednesday 22 November 2006.

Inline with Bally’s commitment to the city of Dubai, Dubai Autism Centre was invited to present works of art from the children at the centre. During the evening 20 paintings were on display for guests to view. These one of-a-kind paintings were then auctioned off, raising AED502,000 for the Centre.

Guests are invited to make further contributions to the Dubai Autism Centre by using special Bally VIP cards presented to them during the evening of the event. For all purchases made at the Bally store between 23 November 2006 and 20 December 2006 a percentage of the total cost will be given to the cause.

Bally’s new store offers customers the full range of the men’s and women’s shoes and accessories for Autumn Winter 2006.  The store occupies 3,500 square feet and evokes a sense of calmness resulting in a warm and comfortable shopping environment. Bally currently operates over 200 free-standing stores, and in total approximately 600 points of sale worldwide.
