A Bahraini trade delegation is due to visit Bombay next week for talks on strengthening trade ties, reported the Bahrain Tribune newspaper Sunday.
The delegation includes representatives from government and private sectors, said the Tribune.
“Our visit to India is very important. It aims at finding ways of enhancing trade and economy ties,” an official said.
Bahrain promotes foreign investment, and has in recent years promulgated regulations permitting 100-percent foreign ownership of new industrial establishments. However, all commercial investments are subject to government approval and generally must be made in partnership with a Bahraini national controlling at least 51 percent of the equity – Albawaba.com
