Bahraini experts are working on a national employment strategy that could be “more effective” in dealing with unemployment in the Gulf state.
The Gulf Daily News reported that more than 50 experts from various ministries, NGOs, businessmen and worker representatives discussed the outlines of the strategy in a forum organized by the labor ministry.
"We want to leave this meeting with an agreement on the contents of this strategy," one expert said.
"To be able to achieve this, all the involved organizations and authorities should work together and exchange their views."
One of the main suggestions presented during the discussion was a call to involve more ministries in drawing up plans to curb the unemployment, said the paper.
