Bahrain became the first football team to qualify for the semi final in the 13th Asian Cup in China after defeating Uzbekistan on penalties 4 - 3. The 120 minutes ended by 2-2. Bahrain scored through A'ala Hubail in the 71st and 76th minutes, while Uzbekistan scored through Aleksandr Geynrikh in the 60th minute and Vladimir Shishelov in the 86th minute.
