Bahrain is gearing up for wide-scale educational reforms in the wake of the Gulf emirate's drastic political, economic and administrative changes, reported the Gulf News.
The reforms, which will also cover university education, are aimed at providing the younger generation with the skills needed for the modern world.
Stressing the need for such reforms to human resources development schemes, Education Minister Mohammed bin Jassim Al Ghatam has said that the "top priority is being placed on introducing reforms to the island's education systems to set new priorities to meet the challenges of the time and achieve the goals of society."
The Bahraini Ministry of education provides free education for all Bahraini and non-Bahraini students in public schools.
