Baghdad, Tehran exchange remains of soldiers

On Tuesday, Iran and Iraq exchanged the remains of 148 soldiers killed during their 1980-1988 war or who died while in detention. 

 

During a ceremony in the Iranian border town of Shalamtsheh, Iranian officials handed over the remains of 84 Iraqi soldiers and received the remains of 64 Iranian troops, state radio said. 

 

The ceremony was attended by officials from Tehran and Baghdad charged with humanitarian issues.(Albawaba.com)
