A hotel in central Baghdad came under attack from rocket fire on Thursday evening.
Shortly after the attack on the Sheraton and Palestine Hotels bursts of gunfire could be heard echoing across the area.
At least two rockets hit the hotel. The hotel is used by many foreign contractors and journalists.
There were no immediate reports of any casualties.
A resident of the hotel said one rocket had hit a room on the first floor and a second blast followed immediately afterwards. (albawaba.com)
