A thick fog in the skies of Cairo on Wednesday diminished visibility to less than 50 meters and caused a delay of several flights at Cairo’s international airport this morning, said agencies.

Airport officials were quoted as saying that the Egyptian airspace was closed at 01:00 GMT for a short period, which caused a delay in eight flights to different destinations. A thick fog usually forms in the early hours of the morning in Egypt at this time of the year. (Albawaba.com)
