ALBAWABA - Azerbaijan authorities in December arrested a French man on espionage charges, the Azerbaijani ambassador to France told AFP on Tuesday, against a background of tensions between Baku and Paris.
"Suspected of having committed acts of espionage, Martin Ryan, a French national, was arrested on December 4, 2023," said Azerbaijan's ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva, adding that judicial authorities he be held "for a period of four months".
