Arab Transportation Ministers Council concludes meetings

The Arab Transportation Ministers Council winded up its 15th conference in Cairo Wednesday, under the chairmanship of Kuwaiti Minister of Transportation Sheikh Ahmed Alabdullah Alahmed Alsabah.  

 

Dr. Nasir bin Mohammed Alsalloum, Communications Minister, headed Saudi Arabia's delegation to the meetings, SPA reported.  

 

The ministers discussed a study to link the Arab world with railways, and a proposal to unify Arab sea ports tariffs and freightage.  

 

In addition, they called upon Arab insurance companies to expedite their accession to the Bahrain-based Arab Fund Insurance against War Risks.  

 

The council's next meeting is expected to take place in October 2003 while the Executive Bureau is to meet in April 2003. (Albawaba.com)
