Arab League secretary general Amr Moussa is expected to leave Cairo for Tripoli on Monday, for a brief
visit to Libya for talks with high-level officials on issues of “key significance”, Qatar News Agency reported.
Hisham Yousuf, spokesman for the secretary general said consultations Moussa is to conduct in Tripoli would focus on Arab issues of concern, including Sudanese affairs and efforts made by the Arab League for the reconstruction of southern Sudan.
In addition, the Palestinian cause and the Iraqi issue as well as preparations for the Arab summit expected to take place in Bahrain in March would be discussed, the spokesman added. (Albawaba.com)
