United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan told Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Friday that the international community is prepared to offer aid and resources to help to ensure the Gaza Strip disengagement plan's successful implementation, Sharon's office said in a statement.
Annan called both Sharon and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Friday to thank them for their joint efforts to work out security arrangements for Gaza Strip after an Israeli withdrawal, government sources said. (Albawaba.com)
