Anglo Irish Bank, a leading financial services provider has increased the interest rate to 5.30 per cent, an increase of 30 basis points on US$ Privilege 90 Day Notice Accounts – a capital guaranteed, high-interest savings account.

“When we launched our Privilege range of accounts we made a commitment to keep our interest rates competitive. Our regular interest rise is in line with this customer promise.   We also offer customers a streamlined account opening process making it quicker and easier for people to do business with us. Our minimum balance requirement for these accounts is substantially lower than what is being offered in the market place, making the account a perfect saving option for a large cross section of customers,” said Steve Corrin, General Manager of Anglo Irish Bank Dubai.

Interest rates on the bank’s USD Instant Access Account have also been raised to           5.00 per cent, an increase of 25 basis points. This flexible, full-access savings account, allows customers to earn high interest on their savings while having immediate access to their money. This account is available in GBP£, US$ and Euro.

For longer-term investors, Anglo Irish Bank’s Privilege Bond is an ideal option. Now offering even higher interest rates, these bonds give customers an attractive fixed interest rate, together with the flexibility of immediate access to 20% of their funds without notice or penalty during the life of the bond. Interest on the bond is paid annually or on maturity. Current US$ Privilege Bond rates are 5.50 per cent per annum on Privilege 12 months, 18 months and 24 months bonds, an increase of 20 basis points.

“Our Fixed Term Bond offers our clients three of the most valuable investment criteria: high returns, security and flexibility.  I believe that coupled with our personalized customer service, this offering re-enforces our position as a leading global provider of savings products,” added Steve Corrin.
