The American embassy in the Syrian capital of Damascus was closed to the public on Thursday to "reavaluate its security," the mission said in an internet statement.
“The embassy will be closed to the public on Thursday, November 4, 2004 to enable it to reassess its security posture,” it said.
It seems the embassy will be re-opened just on Sunday as the mission is usually shut on Fridays and Saturdays. (albawaba.com)
