Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika starts Thursday an official visit to Italy to take part in a meeting of African leaders with officials of the Group of Eight (G-8) industrialized nations, reported the official Kuwaiti news agency, KUNA.
The African leaders include the presidents of Nigeria, South Africa and Mali.
Leaders of Algeria, South Africa and Nigeria have for the past two years been trying to persuade the G-8 nations to forgive the foreign debts of poor countries, said KUNA – Albawaba.com
