Algeria's President, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, received Lieutenant-General Mohamed Lamari, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP), who handed in his resignation for health reasons, the Presidency of the Republic announced Tuesday in a statement.
The resignation was accepted by the President, who then appointed General Major, Army Commander, Salah Ahmed Gaid, new ANP Chief of Staff, the statement went on, according to APS. (albawaba.com)
