The Algerian police have purchased a new identification system based on the lines of that used by the American national security service, the FBI, according to Algerian press sources.
The system is called Ibis, which will significantly modernize the technology available in Algeria. A big improvement will be the availability of the Automatic Finger Identification System. Police spokesmen claim that this will significantly boost the fight against organized crime which has been growing considerably in Algeria in the past few years.
