Algeria vows to fight drug proliferation

Algeria's Justice Minister Tayeb Belaiz stressed on Tuesday, the state's determination to fight against drug proliferation, mainly among youth. Replying questions from APN (National People's Assembly) deputies regarding the bill relating to the prevention and the suppression of drug use and unlawful trade, discussed at the assembly, Belaiz told that the text aims at backing up drug fighting mechanisms.  

 

According to APS, he stressed the importance of strengthening international cooperation in the fight against this phenomenon. Earlier, some 20 deputies insisted in their speeches on "the importance of prevention through the strengthening of different mechanisms and the working out of awareness programs". (albawaba.com)
