Algeria and Turkey have signed an accord to cooperate on counter terrorism, reported the Middle East Newsline (MENL) on Friday.
Officials said the security accord was signed in Algiers on Wednesday, adding that the accord also included efforts to fight against organized crime and drug-trafficking.
The accord was signed by Algerian security chief Ali Tunis and his Turkish counterpart, Kemal Einal.
Officials said the agreement will lead to increased intelligence exchanges and joint investigations. They said the next step will be an exchange of technical committees and experts – Albawaba.com
