The Russian Federal Space Agency Rosaviakosmos and the Algerian Space Agency have signed an agreement on understanding and cooperation in using space technologies, the Rosaviakosmos press service reported.
This document envisages joint activities on the remote sensing of the Earth and the creation of telecommunication and navigation systems.
Algeria is planning to employ the possibilities of the Russian space industry to launch its satellites and create and maintain ground-based infrastructure.
The accord also outlines joint scientific research, training of specialists and the transfer of technologies, the press service added. (Albawaba.com)
