ALBAWABA - Al Jazeera reported that three Israeli detainees are scheduled to be released today by Hamas' armed branch, Al-Qassam Brigades, in a car that was taken during the October 7, 2023 raid.
In preparation for the sixth round of the prisoner exchange under the first stage of the ceasefire agreement, fighters from the Islamic Jihad Movement's military branch, Al-Qassam Brigades and Al-Quds Brigades, have assembled in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. The transfer will be supervised by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
One of the Israeli prisoners, Sagi Dekel Han, will get a gold necklace as a present for his newborn daughter, who was born four months after his abduction, according to a source within Al-Qassam, as reported by Al Jazeera journalist Hani Al-Sha'er. It is anticipated that the released inmates would address the media in Hebrew.
Al-Qassam showed an hourglass with a picture of Einav Tzengauker, the mother of Israeli prisoner Matan Tzengauker, who has been promoting prisoner swaps, before to the handover. The words "Time is running out" were written below, emphasizing how urgent the current conversations were.
Images of 11 Israeli kibbutzim and military locations captured by Palestinian militants on October 7 were also posted on the website; according to a source, the Khan Younis Brigade was in charge of the operations.
Pictures of prominent Palestinian resistance figures murdered in the conflict, including as Yahya Sinwar, Ra'fat Salama, and Mohammed Deif, were also on exhibit. "We, the soldiers, are coming, O Jerusalem" was written on a banner that underlined the resistance's dedication to the Palestinian cause. Another notable billboard that rejected Israeli attempts to forcefully relocate Gaza's residents had the words "No to displacement" over a picture of Yahya Sinwar's chair in Rafah, where he was allegedly slain.
In a public show of solidarity for Hamas and the current prisoner swap, sizable groups have been assembling outside the exchange location since the early hours of the morning, bearing flowers, candies, Palestinian flags, and pictures of resistance heroes.
The ceasefire deal and prisoner swaps are still a key part of talks between Israel and Palestinian resistance groups, and Al Jazeera is keeping an eye on developments in both areas.
