one of London suicide bombers Mohammad Sidique Khan has been seen in a video telling the British public they were to blame for the July 7 attacks.
In the footage aired Thursday by al Jazeera TV, al Qaeda made a direct claim to have been behind the bombings. Delivering his message, Khan warned: "Now you too will taste the reality of this situation."
The video, recorded as a final message before his suicide attack, sees him tell Britons they would be targeted again in future. He said: "Our words are dead until we give them life with our blood."
Khan also said on the tape he was inspired by al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and the leader of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al Zarqawi.
The suicide bomber, who killed six people on a Circle Line train at Edgware Road, said "Your democratically elected governments continuously perpetuate atrocities against my people and your support of them makes you directly responsible, just as I am directly responsible for protecting and avenging my Muslim brothers and sisters."
The video also features Ayman al Zawahri, al Qaeda's second in command. He confirmed Osama bin Laden's network was behind the attacks in the British capital which claimed 52 lives and warned of "more catastrophes".
