One thousand five hundred and thirty people were killed in Yemen and 10953 injured in 9931 car accidents during 2000,Yemen Times reported.
Reports of the Yemeni Traffic Office estimated the losses and damage for 625,941,515 rials.
According to the paper, Sana'a, 340 people were killed and 3271 were injured in the capital, which holds the first position among all Yemeni cities in the number of casualties resulting from accidents, followed by Taiz in the second and Ibb in third -- Albawaba.com
