At least thirty six people were killed and seven others injured after a passenger bus and a truck collided on the Yazd-Tabas road Saturday night, IRNA reported on Sunday.

The injured, some of them said to be in critical situation, were taken to local hospitals in the cities of Tabas and Yazd. Police blamed the accident on the recklessness of the bus driver, who suddenly swerved to the left.
