The toll from a storm that struck central and southern Philippine islands early Wednesday has risen to 64 dead with 110 people missing, officials said.
The worst hit was the small island of Camiguin, where local authorities reported 54 deaths and 110 missing residents, said the southern Philippines military spokesman, Colonel Danilo Servando.
Civil defense officials said eight people also drowned in floods around the southern city of Cagayan de Oro, while two children drowned near the central city -- MANILA, (AFP)
