Fifty Egyptian companies are sending representatives to Cologne for the German city's October 13-17 international food industry trade fair, reported the weekly Middle East Times.
The Egyptian companies will showcase products including milk, sweets, fruits (fresh, frozen, dried), rice and rice products, fresh and canned vegetables, dried dates, baby and children food, herbs, nuts, tee, coffee and spices.
The fair deals with the wholesale and retail grocery trade, catering products, trade brands, convenience products, bio products, and fresh products, as well as retail technology.
More than 6,000 suppliers from 100 countries will exhibit new products on a space of 286,000 square meters.
The fair is expected to receive more than 184,000 visitors, of which 72 percent are decision makers, said the weekly.
The majority of visitors are wholesalers (37.8 percent), industry (22 percent), catering (11.5 percent), and retail (11 percent). Almost 40 percent of visitors come from abroad, representing 152 countries – Albawaba.com
