17 members of armed groups surrendered Wednesday to the Algerian security forces, a security source said. The source told KUNA that the men were active in Bumerdas area some 50 kilometers east of the Algerian capital and were members of the Salafiah Group for Daawah and Fighting.
The Algeria army is reported to kill "nine terrorists" during the past few days during expanded combing operations in Bukaheel Mountains some 680 kilometers east of the Algerian capital.
