A total of 11 newspapers have been closed since 1998 including Yeni Binyil newspaper which was closed two days ago, reported Anadolu news agency Tursday, adding that newspaper personnel suffered most in these closures.
It named the papers as Bugun, Super Tan, Yeni Gunaydin, Ates, Yeni Yuzyil, Asabi, Ayyildiz, Ilk Haber, Aydinlik, Yeni Gundem and Yeni Binyil.
A drop in circulation and decreasing advertising revenues were reported as the two main factors which lead to the closings, said the agency – Albawaba.com
