Eleven Iranians, sentenced to death for murder, were hanged at dawn Wednesday in Tehran's Qasr Prison, reported the official Iranian news agency, IRNA, citing a press report on Thursday.
The death sentences were upheld by the Supreme Court after the 11 were convicted by lower courts.
Three more, who were to have been executed at the same time, were spared at the last minute, after the heirs or relatives of their victims intervened, the daily Qods said – Albawaba.com
