The 10th edition of the International Book Fair of Algiers will be held from 21 to 30 September. Liberte Algeria reports that the program of the event will include literary meetings and roundtables as well as conferences on topics such as "Algerian novel from past to present", "Islam and Secularity" and "Algerian political thought". Ahmed Boucenna, the president of the Steering Committee for the International Book Fair of Algiers announced that 667 publishers from 22 countries would participate in the event including India, which will be taking part in the Fair for the first time. Boucenna said that they are happy with the level of participation in this edition of the Fair since it is much higher compared to the 9th edition, which gathered 300 exhibitors.
