A Moroccan village will settle on the quays of the Rhone in the city of Lyon, in France, from July 8 to July 17. The village, which will spread on an area of almost 600 m2 and include 26 tents, will host a number of artistic formations, representing various regions and various traditions from Morocco, as well as numerous stands of traditional craft industry and Morocco’s cuisine.
EMarrakech reports that the village-event, which was initiated by the "Cultural Horizon" Association, aims at presenting the cultural heritage and various traditions of Moroccan life to the French public, and encouraging cultural exchanges.
Before settling in Lyon, the village “visited” in Hanover (Germany), and hosted, among various personalities, also the wife of the German chancellor.
