A new book, titled “Algerian Tales” (147 pages), written by the literature professors Christiane Achour and Zineb Ali-Benali, has recently been published by Media-More Publishing House. “Algerian Tales” consists of 12 tales, based on Arab oral literature, including the well-known tales of Zondja and the Green Bird along with the new versions of these tales.
<i>Liberte-Algeria</i> reports that in addition to this collection of 12 tales, the authors also present in their book a number of fascinating riddles and proverbs, all taken from the oral Arab inheritance.
