“The Boulevard of Young musicians”, organized annually for the last seven years in Casablanca by the Federation of Laic Works (FOL), will be held from June 2 to June 5. The organizers announced that this year’s edition, which will bring together about 40 musical formations from different backgrounds and different styles, is expected to draw a crowed of no less than 20.000 to 30.000 people per day.
<i>EMarrakech</i> reports that although “The Boulevard” was originally initiated as a contest aiming at discovering the best formation in each category, the idea of contest itself as by now became only one of the pretexts to bring together and motivate young musicians. Thus, apart from the competing music groups, the event’s programming also includes invited young groups, some of which took part in preceding editions, as well as national and international artists.
