“Tatweer”, an ambitious initiative by the emirate of Sharjah to boost the role of young talents and the emirate’s competitiveness, recently held a workshop highlighting its strategic plans to the emerging pool of young and talented leaders in Sharjah, at Qanat Al Qasba.

The workshop is part of Tatweer’s attempt to enhance interactivity between private and public sector organisations in order to achieve sustainable development in the emirate. The workshop provided participants an overview of Tatweer’s strategy, plans and membership benefits. The workshop also focused on activating partnership between the private and public sectors, and emphasised the initiation of programs that aim at developing a world-class pool of young talented people.

“Tatweer aims to enhance the participation of talented young professionals in the economic development of the emirate. Encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation amongst young professionals is at the top of our agenda,” said Hussain Al Mahmoudi, president of Tatweer.

“The highly competitive business environment of today requires highly skilled professionals. Tatweer will work at different levels to identify, nurture and promote young talents and utilise their capabilities in raising the profile of the Emirate as an ideal local and regional business destination,” he added.

Tatweer is managed by a board of directors elected by its founders and appointed through a decree issued by the Executive Council of Sharjah. The forum seeks to develop and nurture the skills of young professionals to improve overall competitiveness of the emirate and help position it as a dynamic business destination in the UAE.

Members of Tatweer will have the opportunity to network with leading local, regional and international companies. They will also be updated on the latest economic and social events. Creative ideas and innovative projects presented by young talents will be evaluated by members to study the possibility of executing them in the public and private sectors.

Tatweer offers organisations who wish to sponsor its events and programs the privilege of promoting them and highlighting their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Sponsors will also be able to participate in the seminars, sessions and workshops organised by the forum. They will also be listed in the Tatweer’s database, website and leaflets.
