Liverpool forward Luis Suarez indicated a move to Barcelona would appeal to him, as he praised their style of football and insisted they will return to their former glories.

Suarez was the subject of a messy transfer saga last summer and a similar situation could be about to arise especially after FDN revealed Real Madrid’s approach for the Uruguayan on Monday, Football Direct News reported.

And now Suarez has done little to quash the rumours of a potential move to Spain, this time leaving the door open for a switch to Real’s arch-rivals Barcelona.

“The Barca players know what they need next season, but it is not my decision,” the 27-year-old explained when pressed on his future by sport.es.

Liverpool will be desperate to press on with transfer business of their own over the summer and could do without the future of their star player being in the balance throughout.

They will be interested to note Suarez didn’t exactly knock the speculation on its head and his further comments about his admiration for Barca will further fan the flames.

“It is impossible to finish the tiki-taka of Barca. It is so beautiful to see,” he insisted.

His respect for Barca’s style indicates an enthusiasm to play for the Catalans but Brendan Rodgers will fight tooth and nail to keep his talismanic striker once again.

Suarez scored 31 goals in the Premier League this season and has shot to the top of the most wanted list throughout Europe’s top clubs.

His acknowledgement that it is not in his hands whether he moves on or not isn’t exactly a commitment to his current side and could imply a desire to leave if a club like Barca came calling.
