The priest is in the Assyrian village of Bartella, according to tweeters. The Iraqi army took Bartella from Daesh (ISIS) today. The town was occupied by the militant group since 2014.
For some, the image provided hope that Iraq will not face more sectarian conflict after a Daesh defeat in Mosul.
