Egypt tightens regulations on 4G licenses in defiance of mobile operators' requests

Despite mobile operators' pleas to amend conditions for obtaining 4G licenses in Egypt, the NTRA has enforced more difficult terms.

Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat said they rejected the 4G licensing conditions due to overpricing, the lack of available frequencies, and the condition of paying half of the licence’s value in US dollars. (Shutterstock)
