Egypt: Vodafone, Etisalat, Orange sign agreements for 4G licenses

Negotiations between Egypt's NTRA and major mobile operators to acquire 4G licenses have ended with multi-million dollar contracts with Vodafone, Etisalat and Orange.

Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat said they rejected the 4G licensing conditions due to overpricing, the lack of available frequencies, and the condition of paying half of the licence’s value in US dollars. (Shutterstock)
